方格纹铜鼎是迄今为止已知的我国最早的青铜炊具
方格纹铜鼎通高20厘米,口径15.3厘米,底径10厘米,敛口,折沿尖唇,垂腹下收,平底,三空心四棱锥状足,口沿上有两个半环状耳,腹部饰以很不规整的带状阳线方格纹,其造型和纹饰风格与中原龙山文化晚期的陶鼎几乎完全一致,但材质却是当时罕见的贵金属——青铜。
