铜鼎的四壁、底部及内壁铭刻古今书家不同书体的寿字1万个，包括满、蒙、白、藏、苗、彝、壮、维吾尔、朝鲜等少数民族的寿字书法，寓意中华民族万寿无疆，万民永寿，万方同寿。
